These movements are made from combined stories of place at the "I Can't Dance Alone Workshop" in June. The questions asked were borrowed from a technique learned from Starr Muranko:
1. your birth-land?
2. your ancestral home-land?
3. where are you living now?
At
the next workshop, which will take place sometime this month (or very
possibly the next), we will be trying out the choreography
created these workshop participants (Shade Little and Sara
Morgan), making new place movements and considering the following: How
do you make #art big enough to talk about #sun, #seeds, #Earth, #plants and #water ?
PS - So far we've had a spring workshop and a summer workshop and now fall. :) I did not intentionally schedule them that way, but I'm liking the seasonal pattern and will go with it!
