Where We Are At Now

new dew in the morning
So I had some obsessions.  Vitamin D deficiency, planting Cherokee heirloom seeds, ancient Indigenous agricultural knowledge, family stories, dirt, the power of water, all the little things that come together to make something grow, our place in it all, the swirly designs on october beans, how a handfull of dried corn is a meal, the miracle of corn.

What has become of it all so far is this:

1.  Ode to the Sun II  poem, music and solo performance
2.  Color of the Earth poem, music and solo performance
3.  Our places dance workshops
4.  Planting dance workshops

I've been doing the our places workshops and working with other artists to make music, design costumes and create choreography.  The performances and planting workshops will premiere in February and March at an Indigenous performance festival in Vancouver, BC.

As of today, Ahwisgvsgo'i is a traveling show that changes and morphs with input and participation from local Indigenous communities.  Sounds good to me! :)
